Mississippi Baptist Seminary & Bible College has long had as its objective the training of persons to serve the church without regard to past academic attainment. To this end, several non-degree programs of instruction are offered. Several programs, focusing on the praxis of ministry, are available for those interested in or qualify for the pastoral ministry but who chose not to pursue a degree program. Certificates are awarded in Biblical Studies and Christian Education. A certificate is awarded when the student has successfully completed thirty-three (33) semester hours in a given area.
